Approved Storage and Waste Hauling transformed their business to Dispose of Medical Waste
Approved Storage and Waste Hauling transformed their business virtually overnight to provide the essential resources and necessary services to ensure their clients on the front line of the COVID-19 crisis---first responders, healthcare workers and hospitals-- can appropriately dispose of the enormous amount of medical waste created during the crisis.
Since 1996 Approved has grown year over year by putting customers first. Never has this motto been put to a greater test than today. Responding to the call to action and re-positioning their whole company to support those in need, Approved has put their employees on the front line in this battle, some paying a heavy price for the necessary proximity to Healthcare sector risks. Approved CEO Charles Dippolito reports multiple confirmed cases, employees quarantined due to exposure, and one employee (a National Guardsman) activated into service. With employee safety as the first priority, Approved is taking all precautionary measures to ensure the safe operation of their business while keeping the Healthcare system up and running in ways we don’t typically think about as essential or fully appreciate.
Hospitals are requiring service many times their typical frequency in order to keep up with the vast amount of waste generation. Re-routing trucks, re-positioning employees, and deploying additional equipment is just the tip of the “service iceberg” Approved is delivering for their clients, which include the states of RI, CT, NJ; NYC’s FDNY, Health & Mental Hygiene, Dept of Corrections, and the Chief Medical Examiner; Counties of Westchester, Nassau, Rockland, Morris and a number of the largest and most impacted private Healthcare Systems in the Northeast.
